Head coaches should email their team soon after their roster is set
  • Introduce yourself and cover important points for the season (practice dates/locations, team expectations, etc)
 
Get a team manager ASAP!
  • When you first email your team, ask for a volunteer for team manager
  • Your team manager will handle your team's communications:
    • Send out team emails about practices, games, etc
    • Coordinate tailgates, snacks, etc
  • Once you have a team manager, email their name to focolacrosse@gmail.com and we'll give them access to your team's webpage/roster/contact info
 
Emailing your team
  • Our website allows coaches (and team managers) to easily communicate with their team. You can email your players, assign uniform numbers, post team news, enter game results, and more.
  • Once you've been assigned as a coach or manager to a team, you will be able to login to your team's webpage using your email address and personal password (click here for directions). Once logged in, you will be able to do the following:
  • Your team's webpage has the most up-to-date roster and contact info, so please use it for all communications with your team
 
Uniforms
  • Uniforms will be distributed to teams before their first game
 
Team equipment
  • Teams will be provided with the requisite team equipment (balls, ball bags, cones, etc)
  • If your goalie doesn't have goalie gear, we'll provide a goalie stick, chest protector, and throat guard
 
Cancelling practices/games due to poor field conditions
  • If the fields are obviously unplayable, we'll send out a cancellation email to players/parents/coaches
  • If the fields are merely questionable, it's left to the discretion of each head coach whether or not to cancel
    • Keep in mind that the city does NOT want us tearing up their fields, and we must take good care of them!
  • If you decide to cancel, you (or your team manager) must send out a cancellation email to your team
